Ruth 2:2-4
“… Ruth the Moabitess said to Naomi, "Please let me go to the field, and glean heads of grain after him in whose sight I may find favour."

And she said to her, "Go, my daughter."

 Then she left, and went and gleaned in the field after the reapers. And she happened to come to the part of the field belonging to Boaz, who was of the family of Elimelech. Now behold, Boaz….”

The name Naomi means ‘delight’ or ‘pleasant’ or ‘favour’. The name Ruth means ‘friendship’ or ‘friend’. The name Boaz means strength. Spiritually the Ruth-Naomi connection means friendship with favour or friend of favour or someone who attracts favour on his or her life. Favour is that spiritual force that draws critical people into your life; people who will use their position, resources, power, influence etc to help you. Boaz had everything Ruth need! Boaz was Ruth’s answered prayer. Boaz was the strength that Ruth needed.

But for Ruth, this did not just happen. Favour upon Ruth was as a result of deliberate decision she made to connect herself to Naomi. Look at these words:

                   
But Ruth said:

"Entreat me not to leave you,
Or to turn back from following after you;
For wherever you go, I will go;
And wherever you lodge, I will lodge;
Your people shall be my people,
And your God, my God.
Where you die, I will die,
And there will I be buried.
The LORD do so to me, and more also,
If anything but death parts you and me."
Ruth 1:16-17

By choosing Naomi, Ruth was choosing Naomi’s place, Naomi’s people and more importantly Naomi’s God. When she chose God, she gave God the permission to begin ordering her life. It was God who brought Ruth to the field of Boaz who eventually became her husband!  Other people would call what happened to Ruth a coincidence. But I call it a God-incidence! You may there today reading this message and your life is has been shattered by the devil. You don’t know where to start from and what to do. Let me tell you something, if you surrender everything in the hands of God, the unseen hand of God will begin to operate in your life!
The unseen hand of God took Joseph out of the pit! The unseen hand of God stopped the lions from eating Daniel! The unseen hand of God made Elijah running on foot overtake the king with best horses and chariots! The unseen hand of God took Peter out of prison.  Many coincidences (God-incidences) happen when you begin to pray! You are the next person to be helped by this unseen hand of God!
