I returned and saw under the sun that —

The race is not to the swift,

Nor the battle to the strong,

Nor bread to the wise,

Nor riches to men of understanding,

Nor favour to men of skill;

But time and chance happen to them all—Eccl 9:11

The above passage of scripture gives some wonderful insights when it comes to successful living. There is something beyond your physical ability. There is something beyond your academic or professional credentials. It is not difficult to see people who have all the qualifications required for them to have a good job and live a good life, and yet they are struggling! What is the problem? There is more to life than just having good papers! Life is not just about work. Life is not just about speed or skill. The Bible says time and chance happen to everyone. To succeed you also need opportunities. To succeed you need God to help you. Therefore, you need to give room for the supernatural. Everyone in the school of progress must learn to look beyond the physical.  There is what is called divine mercy.  The Bible says in Rom 9:16

So then it is not of him who wills, nor of him who runs, but of God who shows mercy.

The mercy of God is breakthrough trigger. It enables you do what you cannot do in your natural might and achieve what you cannot achieve in your natural might. Expect the mercy of God upon your life today in Jesus name!
